Dyania Health, Inc. Welcomes New CTO Konstantine Arkoudas to the Executive Leadership Team

Konstantine Arkoudas joins Dyania Health as their Chief Technology Officer. Dyania's technology derives clinically accurate meaning representations from the unstructured and structured data of de-identified patient EMRs, a process commonly used in pre-screening patients for clinical trials, researching biomarkers, and running in-silico synthetic studies.

As CTO of Dyania Health, Konstantine will lead the company’s technology strategy. An AI industry
thought leader, Konstantine will draw on his extensive experience to advance Dyania’s
HIPAA-compliant technology, which uses state-of-the-art AI to drive optimal clinical research, bring
drugs to market faster, and save patient lives.

Konstantine was formerly a senior science manager at Amazon, where his teams built and
deployed deep-learning models for advanced NLU (Natural Language Understanding) for Alexa.
Prior to Alexa AI, he was a team leader at Bloomberg AI, where he grew a team that worked on
NLP-powered search and knowledge graphs. Konstantine has been in the AI space for more than
10 years, as an academic, a senior research scientist, an engineer, a team leader, and a manager of
managers. He has also advised and worked with several startups throughout his career. He holds a
PhD in Computer Science from MIT’s AI Lab and has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications,
several book chapters, and a textbook, in fields ranging from NLP and AI to programming
languages, formal methods, and cognitive science.

Eirini Schlosser, Dyania’s CEO shared, “The excitement of the team to welcome Konstantine’s
leadership has been unmatched. His experience in natural language processing and the
opportunity to bring this knowledge to a virtually untapped industry is what we look forward to.
There hasn’t been an effective clinical natural language understanding tool. We are excited to be
bringing technology innovations that have been successful in other industries to the
pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.”
